Adapting for Tomorrow’s Environment

10th December 2020

A new film ‘Adapting for Tomorrow’s Environment’ produced by our partner the Walker Institute describes some of the important work we are doing together in sub-Saharan Africa.

In the film, EfD’s Patron Theo Sowa, CEO of the Africa Women’s Development Fund, describes the significance of the way in which we are working. She highlights the importance of talking and listening with communities, changing our work to directly meet people’s needs in terms of the knowledge and data we produce and share.

Theo clearly states that we are heading for a crisis due to limited and badly managed resources. This is not an isolated incidence in one area – it is a widespread issue that will intensify as our climate changes, with people living in the poorest conditions being at most risk. The work we are doing with our partners focuses on using evidence to help decision making at all levels improve living standards and strengthen resilience in some of the poorest places in the world.
