Mike held senior posts at BP including Regional Finance Manager, East Asia and Manager of Strategy and Planning, BP Oil Europe during 20 years’ work for the company, of which 10 years were spent overseas in Indonesia, Singapore, the USA and Belgium.

Mike also has 12 years’ experience in the management of leading UK academic institutions. He was Director of Finance at Imperial College London and the Director of Resources at King’s College London, and he was additionally Trustee, Director and Chair of Audit Committee of the Superannuation Arrangements of the University of London (SAUL) for 11 years.

In the voluntary sector, Mike was treasurer of Health Poverty Action (an international health-based NGO, formerly ‘Health Unlimited’) for a full 8-year term. He performed similar duties for King’s College London Student Union, also for an 8-year period.

Mike is a Fellow of the UK Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (FCCA) and graduated in Economics from the University of Stirling.
